brakes and rotors replacement

2019 chevy traverse needs front brakes and rotors done, I’m not too sold on paying hundreds for labor when I could learn myself. What are some issues that can come up when replacing brakes and rotors that I might need to prepare for? Just wanna know what tools I should keep nearby.
