Atogepant side effects - how likely are these to improve?
I've been on this medication for nearly 3 weeks now and honestly the results have been incredible - I've only really had maybe 3 really bad migraines in that time, down from two months of daily migraines and years of being chronic. But I'm experiencing fairly gnarly side effects - eating makes me feel nauseous, also never hungry, I'm pretty sure it's screwing with my sleep cycle and I feel super fatigued, and my mood is all over the place - crying, suicidal depression one minute, almost feeling manic the next (with no history of actual bipolar disorder) - I literally stayed up until 5am and applied for multiple university courses and jobs and then the next day completely crashed out and nearly drove off a bridge because I felt like life was completely meaningless and I was never going to achieve anything.
I really don't want to come off this medication though - the improvement has been extremely dramatic, and I'm in the UK so the next step is months upon months of no help at all whilst waiting for a neurologist referral that might get rejected on a whim anyway.
So those that have been in a similar position, do these side effects level out? Or am I stuck with them unless I come off the atogepant haha
