Golf in Scotland in June

Good idea to get some British pounds to take with vs changing dollars over there? What is reasonable amount w/dollar down against the pound?

Going for 5 days at least on golf tour w/three other guys so lot of the charges will be paid via the tour company’s bill. They won’t be booking their own hotels or tee times from what I understand. But I guess caddy tips are in cash and there are other items too.
