Can we please talk about how FSSAI is literally speedrunning the “Most Useless Govt Body” award??
Okay I’m officially done. Every week I open the news and see: “XYZ food banned abroad for being toxic” → Meanwhile FSSAI in India: “bro it’s fine 😊”
Like hello?? Are we eating food or radioactive waste at this point?
Spices getting banned internationally? FSSAI: “No worries guys, masala toh masala hi hota hai.”
Fake ghee everywhere? FSSAI: “Issued advisory.” (Advisory = a PDF nobody reads)
Restaurants with 1-star hygiene getting 5-star cleanliness stickers? FSSAI: “Trust me bro.”
This is the same organisation that’s supposed to be “protecting public health” — Bruh, they can’t even protect a samosa.
Real talk: If a regulator can’t regulate, doesn’t enforce anything, and lets companies vibe however they want… then WHY does it exist??
I’m not saying burn it down. I’m saying overhaul it, drag it into the sunlight, give it real powers or real consequences — because whatever it’s doing right now is definitely NOT regulating.
India deserves food that doesn’t come with a side of mystery chemicals and trauma. So yeah, I’m putting this here because nobody around me seems to care and I’m tired of shouting into the void.
If you’ve ever: • accidentally bought fake honey • eaten restaurant food that tasted like “death but spicy” • checked a label and found 27 ingredients you can’t pronounce • or straight up got food poisoning because hygiene is a myth
Drop your story.
Let’s make this post too loud to ignore. Let them see that this generation isn’t going to quietly eat colour No. 420, banned in 15 countries just because the regulator is sleeping 😴.
India deserves better food, not FSSAI Ka “Chalta hai” attitude.
