Housing

I am a student who is going to be there from January to June. I am going to be there for an internship in the Cambridge area at a biotech company. I am looking for a more affordable place to stay that is near transportation, restaurants, kinda a lively area for students, near grocery stores. What is the best place to look for and about? And does anyone have advice on Boston housing? I will be moving from Atlanta, so it has been a very different experience looking for housing!
