Starting a new mage journey, good ending on the first run. Any advice for VB?

Curious to see how this one goes. Only ever did mage with the bad ending so far, because I'm genuinely scared of Virgin Born's high elemental resistances.

Any pointers? I intend to stay below lvl 100 until after VB
