Are my cats drinking enough / too much water?

Two fixed male cats, about 1.5 years old, weight currently unknown but they were about 10 lbs each last time we checked. They are indoors, and vaccinated, no known health conditions, American shorthairs, and they are litter mates . As of right now they share one large litterbox (not ideal but we are working on fixing that).

They eat dry food in the morning, and wet food with about 2 -3 tbsp of water mixed in for dinner. They drink from their water bowl throughout the day and I refill it multiple times a day. I scoop their litter daily, and as long as we’ve had them (1 year 2 months) they have always produced quite large litter clumps, about the size of a softball, pretty consistently every day. Im unsure which cat is producing them or if it’s both.

They are my first cats so I didn’t really think anything of it until recently when I had a friend over, they watched me scoop and commented that their cats clumps are much much smaller, like a quarter - golfball sized, they said it may be a problem that my cats are peeing so much? Does this warrant a vet visit or anything?

If litter type is important, we use tidy cats free and clean unscented, low dust clumping litter
