2025 Hyatt Wrapped

Less exciting than many of you - I need to get out more! All stays as Globalist.

HP Garden City - 6/10. Showing its age but a better-than-average HP breakfast offering.

HP Houston North - 4/10. Rooms extremely dated and not particularly well-maintained. Paid $65/nt and got exactly what you would expect for that price.

HR Lost Pines - 8/10. Used a SUA to upgrade to the Lone Pines Suite. Awesome stay with family, excellent (if slightly overpriced) offerings including archery, shooting, and fishing. Loved the access to the nearby nature trails. Not at all far from Austin but you really feel like you're out in the Hill Country.

Thompson Central Park New York - 8/10. Used a FNA here. So far my favorite New York City Hyatt. Received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was spacious and well-designed. Breakfast offering was good and location can't be beat.

Hyatt House Parsippany East - 6/10. Very spacious rooms, clean hotel, good service, but otherwise nothing special.

HR London - The Churchill - 7.5/10. Very nice and comfortable room. Service was a little slow. Feels weird to complain that this hotel felt like a Hyatt Regency, but was hoping for a slightly more British vibe. Regency club was nice here.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar - 7.5/10. Loved the Bahamas, loved the location, loved all of the offerings at the resort (especially the waterpark, which was AWESOME). Room was fine, service was fine. Food was excellent but you definitely pay for it. Would very happily return though.

HP Mystic - 7/10. A nicer than average HP that has been recently renovated. Great location, great service.

Andaz 5th Avenue - 6.5/10. The location of this hotel is good, but it feels like a W and not in a good way. Rooms are awkwardly laid out and showing their age.

Grand Hyatt Atlanta Buckhead - 8.5/10. Love this hotel. Rooms have been recently renovated. Splurged on the Grand Peach Suite which was huge and awesome (included a Peloton, which was nice). The grounds of the hotel are really nice, the service is consistently good, and the Regency Club was excellent.

HR Chicago - 7/10. Used a Cat 1-4 FNA here, received a complimentary upgrade to a Skyline Suite. Room was extremely spacious but with a tiny bathroom - weird. Regency club was open, with average offerings. Hotel as a whole feels like an '80s throwback. It's huge and gets a ton of conference traffic, and is a bit of a zoo in the morning (the line to the cafe in the lobby has signs indicating how long the wait is, which when I went was 15 minutes). But overall, good service, fine room, good location, no complaints.
