Am I in the wrong or is my husband?

I am a SAHM to 3 kids aged 6, 4 and 3. Our 6 year old participates in a „pre-team” for gymnastics where he has to attend practice from 4-530pm twice a week. When we agreed to do this, I told my husband he will have to help me with taking him to practices because that is a really long time for the younger two to sit through (each practice is a little over 1.5 hours). He agreed!

Today he is telling me that his buddies want to go get food and he needs a good excuse why not to go. I tell him he has one, gymnastics with our son, and he says that’s not a „good enough” excuse. He then says that I have a cushy life and most moms have to drag their kids to practices and events no matter what.

I was so hurt by his comment for so many reasons. First off, it’s not a 40 min soccer practice, but an hour and a half. I think that that’s a really long time for our smaller kids to sit at a practice and I don’t think that it makes me „cushy” to want to figure something else out for them if I can. Second, practices are at 4pm and I think they are BOTH of our responsibility. If he has a work emergency? Sure no problem we will figure it out. But he’s not doing me a favor by skipping going to a bar with his friends so that he can take our son to an after school activity. Finally, the fact that he even feels like it’s not „a good enough excuse” as if he needs to explain to his buddies what is going on in our life really annoys me too.

Am I wrong ? Or is he?
