Block screws unevenly tightened, now my build feels off
So I just finished putting together my new PC, and I noticed that the screws on my CPU water block aren’t all tightened evenly. Some feel a lot tighter than others, and the block seems slightly tilted. I haven’t powered it on yet because I’m scared I might mess something up or cause uneven pressure on the CPU.
Has anyone run into this before? Should I loosen everything and try to tighten in a diagonal pattern, or is it fine as long as the block is sitting flush-ish? Honestly, I’m paranoid about cracking my CPU or the motherboard. Also, how tight is “too tight” anyway? I feel like one turn too far and I’ll be buying a new motherboard.
I’d love some tips from people who’ve done custom loops or even just installed the stock cooler. I just want even pressure without overdoing it. Thanks
