We have decided to strike while the iron is hot, and have launched our fleet to take back the Panama Canal. We arrive with a force of 10,000 men including my elite Pontic Guards, with more to come with time as the logistics of such a feat is quite difficult. The army is led by myself and Megas Domestikos of the East Char Aznable.

The journey was long and arduous, the conditions so awful I molted from my giant worm form back to my humanoid form, which has unfortunately caused me the loss of my power of prophecy (much to the joy of my son John IV who still seems upset about being turned into a giant blob of flesh for some reason).

We have since taken a string of islands in the Caribbean before launching an amphibious landing. After constructing our fortified camp, we moved into the hinterland, cutting down anyone who stood in our way and pillaging for supplies. No native was safe in our sights if they did not come to our aid, either they join us or be put to the sword. No slaves or captives, only heads on pikes.

We then reached the provincial capital and tore down its walls in a matter of hours with our culverins, sacking the city for its resistance and taking all its treasures.

We now hold the city as a stronghold until reinforcements arrive, we are well armed and well supplied with more gold than we can count. We keep livestock in the city for nutrition in case any besieging army arrives.

But on brighter news, look now that I'm human again I've got this nice set of Turkic Gold armor :)
