Questions on whether or not to include Entrepreneurial experience on the resume

Question

Hi all,

As I'm trying to enter this job hunt more seriously, I've been refining my resume. I have around 9 years of operational and HR experience, but I also have 2 ventures which I started as a side business during after hours.

A couple of questions:

  • Do I even include those? Or are those red flags for recruiters, as they can see the dates overlap with current roles?
    • If included, is there a good spot for them?
      • First business was a global recruiting firm, which died shortly after Covid
      • Second was a more successful HR and Strategy Consulting firm which I wrapped up the last project for to focus on my new job hunt now.
  • I am planning to pivot slightly into more Business/Ops Strategy as my current role is more HR related so I could see the strenght in keeping them but would be happy for any input.
  • I also wouldn't want recruiters to worry that this guy is constantly trying to open his own thing... which I kind am...but I gotta feed the family too lol

Thank you in advance!
