Be it because you reluctantly engaged with it for a friend, or you weren't expecting much but came out with your new obsession.

So my Fiance and I took a trip to New York City to vising a friend and see it all Christmas-ey.

...EXCEPT MY FIANCE WAS PLAYED.

What the trip ACTUALLY was was her big Christmas gift from me to take her to see a broadway musical like she always has wanted to.

I was able to trick her into telling me some shows she wanted to see and out of all of them I picked the play "Hadestown".

So, all the way up to when we were literally walking up to the line for the show she had no idea we were seeing the show, and her reaction was absolutely priceless it was worth having to keep this burning secret for weeks and weeks.

So yeah we sit down and I realized I didnt really know what to expect going it, I don't do musicals very often (only one I have listened to more than once was Hamilton, if thats any indication of my level here) and I really picked it because of the name and... I was absolutely fucking stunned the whole time.

The show was amazing, the cast was perfect, the stage was deceptively small and eventually opens up in a grand sequence, the songs were energetic and catchy, the story- while classic -was told in such a fun way, I was absolutely enthralled the whole show.

My Fiance's gift turned out to be a gift for me, I even told her during the intermission "I wasent expecting to witness the thing Ill be thinking about for a long time right now."

Will never forget that experience, if any of yall can see it please do I loved that show so much.
