are best walking shoes for women even real or just a myth?

been trying to get back into my daily 10k steps routine and every single pair of so called comfortable shoes i previously owned has led me to eitherr:

  • blisters at side of the feet or toes
  • heel pain (will tell the reason ahead why)
  • or they start squeaking like a rubber duck in a library (most annoying, kinda have to step like bugs bunny

btw for context i don’t even run. just walk. fast. pavement, parks, some uneven sidewalks. i’m not looking for marathon gear, just shoes that don’t make me think about my foot at all. stuff that actually matters to me:

  • decent cushioning (i’ve got slightly flat feet)

  • doesn’t feel like i’m walking on a yoga mat after a month

  • breathable enough

  • not shaped like orthopedic clogs (pls)

  • bonus if they don’t $$$$$

i’ve seen people mention brooks, altra, hokas, and asics, but i want reviews from frugal spenders like me?
