Tim Robards as a guest instructor
After taking his classes, I can confidently say that the bike class was probably the first time Ben Alldis ever felt like the most charismatic person in the room.
Unlike other instructors who train to be instructors, Tim just felt very flat and was focused on staring into the cameras. Giving him grace, CVV was a bit flat at first too in the first classes he taught, but CVV felt more prepared overall vs Tim.
In the current context of how he was launched, I don't understand the idea of 'guest instructor' (knowing this can change). It felt more like just a guest, like Cynthia Erivo feature star to appeal to a specific market.
If he is going to teach classes alone, IMO (which means nothing) it would have been better for him to have a bit more training/preparation and launch with a solo class vs 2 for 1s to hammer home the idea he is a guest instructor vs a guest. I'm also not clear on if he will always teach all modalities, focus on one, or just do 2 for 1s at strategic points.
Caveat, I haven't seen his social content or his appearance on the Bachelor, so I don't know how he's perceived in Australia. But to me, a non-Aussie, his first classes felt flat and not instructional, more guest star.
