Waiting on God in the wilderness

Advice

Hello everyone. I want to talk about the wilderness season. I know many of you were there or still are there. I wonder, how do you wait on God when life becomes unbearable? I’ve been in this season for almost 4 years. It started with some frauds who took huge loans on my name and I had to pay banks these sums, and they were bigger than my salary. I must say before it happened I was too far from God, I went to church but at the same time I didn’t even remember where my Bible was. When it happened I was so angry at God, I almost hated Him. I went through a lot: depression, work with a therapist, burnout at work. But I became closer to Him. Then in July this year I quit my job and the most brutal part began. I couldn’t find a job, couldn’t pay the bank payments, had to sell all I had and now I have nothing. But the real transformation and renewal happened exactly at that time. I finally repented and left my sins, I changed the old ways of thinking and acting, I passed His tests - I know it. God even showed me His promises to me. I thought it means I’ll leave the wilderness soon, but my life became much harder. It’s been 4 months and I still can’t find a job, I have 3 months overdue payments and the bank is going to sue me, I don’t have money for the next month rent. I try to trust God and think about the promises He gave me, but I live with constant fear and anxiety. I know it may be the last test - of patience, but I can’t bear it anymore. And also I’m super lonely in this season. If you’ve been through something like this, how did you do it?
