Background check?

Hi everyone. I had my interview yesterday, our officer wasn’t necessarily nice but not mean either. Our interview was quick, like 10 min. She didn’t even ask for any updated photos, didn’t ask my husband anything. Only myself some basic info and the yes or no questions. At the end she said they have to do a background check and I’ll get my answer within 30 days…

How long does a background check take? I thought they do those before the interview not after but idk. I know sometimes it takes a while after the interview to get an update but based on what I’ve read on here my field office (Orlando) does a lot of on spot approvals, I didn’t even get a paper that said under review.
