What’s something you settled for in a relationship that worked out in your favor?

I Need Advice 😩

I’ve been chronically single (I’m 28F) my whole life and recently people have been telling me my standards are too high and I need to lower them. I just don’t know how to do that. Looking back at some men I’ve talked to, there were some things that dissuaded me but I’m realizing now that minuscule things like that really don’t matter in the long run. Has anyone settled for their partner, on looks, personality or something else but it ended up being fine. For example, I was talking to this guy who didn’t have a car and always wanted me to come to him BUT he had his own business. I was so turned off by the car thing I didn’t put it much effort with him and looking back, if we got married did it really matter he didn’t have a car? Or if I date someone who maybe dresses terribly or has bad hygiene, those things can be fixed so does it really matter if I temporarily settle…
