Hey community, if your home country were a book, what exact book would it be?
..and also why? Mine is 'Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors' by Mykhailo Kotsiubynsky,1911. It feels like Ukraine with all the Carpathian setting, description of traditions, folklore, and the Parajanov film takes it further with the visuals. Heard that this movie is a big deal in film circles as I know, it is considered a major work n pops up a lot in history/cinematography courses because of how experimental it is. Would be interesting to see a modern interpretation of the book tho
