Choosing when to begin ttc

Hi!! Long time lurker first time poster. My husband and I are planning on TTC this spring. I’m torn on when exactly to start and was hoping some of you wouldn’t mind sharing your experiences.

I was hoping to start trying in March. The issue is — I need to be able to work through the first week of December 2026. On the chance I get pregnant on the first try, this would line up pretty exactly to my work timeline… but is that too close/risky? I’m debating waiting until April or May and know that’s not really a big difference, but I’ve been waiting to try for so long and am unsure if I should miss a cycle. The only thing keeping us from trying right now is my work. What do you think? Would March be too close and should I just wait for April or May? Or should I just take the risk and say fuck it lol? For context I’m 32, will be 33 in May and my husband is 35. I have endometriosis but luckily no symptoms since a surgery a few years ago and my endo was on my uterosacral and ureteral ligaments. I just got my iud out to let my cycle come back and it’s been normal thus far.
