Help building set for myself / 8 year old.

Hi all,

I've recently started taking lessons with my son and we'd like to purchase an acoustic kit. I've been searching around Craigslist, but folks aren't being reasonable with their requests. There are also a surprising amount of scams out there. Found a beautiful Sonor Bop kit, but it ended up being a scam.

At this point, I have a 20% coupon code and I feel like it makes more sense just to buy the darn thing. I have an idea, but would love feedback / recommendations. I especially don't know what kind of cymbals to get.

Here's where my head is at:

Yamaha Stage Custom with 20" Bass. After researching, it looks like 20" will be better for my kid and myself. Stage custom

Cymbals? Other hardware parts I'm not considering? Thoughts?
