Does anyone have experience with Teriparatide?

I have just recently discovered this medication on my own, as my orthopedic surgeon has never brought it up. I took Fosomax for a very short time and got off of it. I am wondering what the side effects are and if it helped/worked. I called my orthopedic’s nurse and she told me that I would have to get it from my primary and it involves routine blood work for some reason but didn’t know why. Any input would be great. Thanks!
