OBGYN wants me to preventatively take baby aspirin at 13 weeks to prevent high blood pressure

Pregnancy

This is my second pregnancy. I do not have chronic high blood pressure and am at a normal weight. I’m currently 14 weeks and at my last appt my doc said to start taking baby aspirin everyday to prevent high blood pressure because in the last week of my pregnancy I got high blood pressure and they induced me. I think it’s ridiculous to take it everyday as I am a normal weight and have normal blood pressure. I will consider taking at the end of the third trimester if necessary but this just feels like the doc is checking off a box and I’m not doing it. Thoughts?
