“Pea sized” follow up
A follow up to my post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/tretinoin/s/KjoxdD9UH9
The balls were for illustrative purposes only. I know that ball on the left would be a tiny as hell pea and less than what most of you use. If I could change it, both balls would be about 50% bigger to more closely match what most of you seem to be using and to better illustrate how some of you are using many times the amount that others are using. I only wanted to show how unintuitive it is to me that the ball on the right isn’t all that much bigger in the grand scheme of things, but it would contain 8 times the amount of tret as the ball on the left. A ball twice as big as the ball on the right would contain another 8 times the tret.
Per others here, "pea-sized" is apparently defined as 0.25 grams. No one is going to weigh their dose every day. But that means a 20 gram tube should last 80 days. Since no one is measuring and no one is getting out the last drops from an empty tube, let's just say 20 grams should last 2 to 3 months. If you are only applying it to your face, and you go through 20 grams more quickly than every 2 months, you may be using more than the recommended amount.
My questions would be:
Are those who use significantly more than 0.25 grams per day on their face more likely to experience adverse effects like irritation and peeling?
Could those who use significantly more than 0.25 grams without adverse effects just use a lesser amount of a more concentrated tretinoin and potentially save money?
Could someone please measure 0.25 grams of tretinoin, put it on their fingertip, and snap a pic for us?
