How do long time players deal with AI driving through you.

I have 2020 and really wanted to put some time in and learn to drive these cars. The problem i'm having is the same as many other complaints i read. The AI just crash into me constantly. They always seem to pull out slowly when i do quali lap, and then they battle me for a corner. It gets too frustrating for me to play.

I get that a lot of it is to do with me not being able to drive at full speed yet. My braking points are different and i'm not taking exactly the same lines as everyone else. I'm trying to practice with races but it becomes so infurriating and i get hit everywhere. They drive through me if i'm just a bit ahead. I just really struggle to have any fun.

Does it get better as i improve and get faster. Are there ways that you drive, things you avoid doing to lesseen the instances of this happening? Do you just avoid offline racing? Is it worth sticking with it, or just practic on my own?

Any time i try an overtake they just drive straight into the back of me or through me at the next corner. How do you guys play and have fun? lol I'm trying but i find it annoying more than fun.
