Remission?

I was diagnosed at the end of last year with 75% yolk sac and 25% embryonal carcinoma. I underwent 4x BEP followed by 2x EP because my lung nodules decreased but did not disappear completely (they were approximately 1cm each, now the largest is 0.8cm) and have been stable for at least six months, markers are zero and everything seems normal. My doctor says that because they are less than 1cm, surgery is not necessary. Has anyone else had stable lung nodules and recovered well? Initially there were approximately 10 nodules, now there are 4 left.
