Can we talk about being clumsy? Because it's one of the most bizarre attributes I've read of people with EDS and I am so so tired of breaking things on accident

Venting

I knew I was clumsy long, long before I knew I had hEDS. It became a joke with my husband that I would text him and say, "I broke something" and he would be like "what was it this time"

The last couple of things I remember breaking/ruining that were especially annoying were:

*I had an expensive book on the table and set a glass of milk down next to it. I looked at the milk and decided that wasn't going to end well, and somehow knocked into the god forsaken glass as I was going to move it. I did save the book but it got all over my chair and my rug, and ofc my lactose intolerant dog came over to help

*I had a special book related butter dish (like it had a design on it) and I was going to use it on Thanksgiving. I'd had it for months and months and never needed it. As I was carrying it over to the counter with all the Thanksgiving crockery I dropped it and it shattered into a million pieces

*I had a glass jar, again with a book design, and I'd filled it with marbles to make it look nice on display. I dropped that. Marbles went EVERYWHERE. I whined about that one for so long my husband bought me another one. I haven't broken that one yet

*I punched my dog in the face accidentally when I was opening a package. I yanked on the tape to open it and my hand flew back and bam. I felt so guilty. Like how many times do you have to say sorry and hug your dog before you're no longer a monster?

*I sliced the living hell out of my thumb with a box cutter trying to open a box. I was so irritated and fed up I closed it really quick with superglue and went back to what I was doing

What are some of yours? And why are we/I like this??????
