What are your craziest Eraserhead theories?

I’m a film student, and as a final we have to do a product critique. I chose the movie Eraserhead, and I want to hear the theories that you have surrounding this film/the interpretations you have. I know the most common interpretation seems to surround a fear of parenthood, so if we could stray from that, that would be awesome! Thanks!
