Gusto ko na Magpakapon

Katanungan

Hello po, for context i’m 24 turning 25 sa february. single, female, no kids, unmarried and I don’t want to have kids po in the future. I want to get my tubes removed when I turn 25 pero according to the majority of people I asked, mahihirapan daw ako makahanap ng doctor that will do it for me. Also, I don’t want to use pills or contraceptives all my life because I tried before and may negative side effects sakin.

A lot of people I tried asking for help told me that i’m too young pa daw to decide pero I have this intense phobia of getting pregnant (Tokophobia) and it affected my previous relationships. I also can’t and will never be able to afford raising a child and given the economy, 9 times out of ten my child will only suffer, so, no.

Before I try to find love again or be with a partner, I want to be sterilized na para i’d feel confident instead of scared. I wanna try LGUs and government agencies pero I don’t know what to expect so I would like your suggestions po, I will appreciate comments from people who have tried LGUs or have suggestions or feedback on their experience there.

I have my PhilHealth, Personal Health Insurance and work HMO po so if I would need to go private, I don’t mind, di ko lang alam magkano aabutin pero I think i’m financially equipped with savings naman. Thanks po.

PS: I’m expecting comments na so I will answer in advance.

-No, i’m not worried po na wala mag aalaga saakin pagtanda ko kasi i’m saving up for retirement. (also, children are not retirement plans)

-The money i’ll spend on kids I can’t afford, i’ll just use it for my retirement plan.

-Sure, you can raise kids with your minimum wage salaries pero that’s not my thing. I’m convinced na if i’m not a millionaire, i’m not entitled to a child - that’s just me.

-I will not choose a partner who wants to have kids. I’ll be with someone who has the same mindset as me.

-Dying alone with cats sounds nice. 💗
