If Steven hadn’t been in the car accident, would Belly have taken Jere back?

Before everything went down with Steven having a life threatening accident, Belly was pretty adamantly against having Jere in her life (she was worried about going to the summer house, Susanna’s memorial, and suggesting she wouldn’t go back there etc). When she bumps into Jeremiah on campus for that pseudo ‘Friends’ reenactment, she says something like she doesn’t see him the same way anymore, and that they can’t get back what they had. It was only when she sees Jeremiah waiting all night at the hospital that she starts to doubt her decision, and has the ‘epiphany’ that the should stay together after all, and she gets swept up in the proposal due to her heightened emotions at that time. If the hospital scene hadn’t happened, would Belly have found her way back to Conrad sooner?
