Question about if I should start over and how.
I got into One Piece almost ten years ago via the anime and watched it up until a certain point (like Alabasta?) and then started loosely following it. I can't really describe it, but I skipped a few arcs like Alabasta and Skypiea. However I would watch certain arcs like Marineford, Saobody, and a few of the post timeskip stuff. Eventually I read some of the manga up to Wano (again, loosely because I swear I do not remember a lot about it). I don't really know why I did this, but I did get information on what happened in a handful of arcs just from reading about it and watching OP videos on YouTube like theories and whatnot. Definitely a weird approach by me for sure, granted I was pretty young... 22 now. Getting to the point, feels like I know a lot about One Piece but don't really feel attached to it outside of the cool fights or whatever. Should I start over entirely? It is a bit daunting to be honest, especially since I think I would prefer the anime. I can't really get any emotion from the manga, as if I need the color and animation. Weird situation to be in, know a lot about the story and characters but feels like there is a disconnect.
