Best option for pet hair and obstacle avoidance?

We have a cheap Roomba currently and hate it. It is basically useless unless the floors are completely clear before running, and hair gets so tangled that it loses all suction without clearing the brushes multiple times per run.

I'm looking for something we don't have to babysit at all. In a perfect world, the only thing we have to do is empty the bin and change the water 1-2 times per week. Floors are mostly hardwood with a few area rugs, and area is around 900 sq ft.

I'm willing to spend up to $8-900 to get the truly best option, but I'm also curious what comparable options in the $5-600 range would look like and what we'd be missing out on with the cheaper price tag. I had originally landed on the Roborock S5V but started to read experiences with poor object avoidance, which led to me to Dreame X50, but it's quite difficult to find a consensus.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
