Flight delayed, canceled, new flight also delayed - compensation?

Me and my husband are going to my home country, our flight was yesterday from Boston - ATL then ATL - home country. The Atlanta flight got delayed by 2 hours and half and then canceled bc there was no pilot.

Delta gave us 4 $12 food vouchers to be used only on airport restaurants, and they also got us hotel reservations. We had to have dinner out of the airplane bc our flight was 9pm, and got canceled at 11:30pm, restaurants were closed at that time.

This morning the new flight also got delayed by 2 hours, and there’s a chance the flight will be canceled again if they can’t a pilot.

Are we entitled to compensation? Like money? We were supposed to be at my home country right now, I booked things for us to do with my family and we’re not only loosing money but also time off from work. It was SO HARD for both of us to take the time off to come to this trip… now we’re gonna miss on pretty much 2 days.

I’m so pissed and sad… haven’t been to my home country in 6 years. We started planning the trip back in July. Very frustrated.
