Cologne - Extremely disappointed and discouraged

Initial attempts to get an appointment: September 20021 - no response (at least 50+ attempts to contact the Behörde for an appointment) Hired migrando December 2024: As a way to at least be able to submit my documents - no reply

I am severely frustrated and discouraged. I have lived in Germany for 14 years total: 3 in primary school, 11 since moving here for university. I have graduated my bachelors and masters in IT relevant fields in Germany. I have a c1 language certificate . I have worked in the it sector for 10 years in total, where 4 also included education: For kids aged 13-16 and in university as a lecturer for another 2. Even though tat based of my previous experience, work and studies I was qualified as someone that doesn’t need the einbürgerungstest I still did it and passed with full score.

I feel humiliated. During my time working at the university I couldn’t apply for the citizenship as all of none of my work employments were befristet ( thanks higher education employment system!) Hence, the late application.

I hired migrando because I just didn’t have the energy to call every morning from 8:00 until 12:00 on the 3 days of the week, when I have to be present at my full time job.

I had all my documents ready but couldn’t just simply post them since the einbürgerubgsamt never seemed to reply, so I could never turn them in. In front of the einbürgerubgsbehörde in cologne there are even guards that stop you unless you have an appointment (which you cannot get).

I am sad, disappointed and feel helpless - I poured my heart, soul and youth into this place and after all those years I still cannot acknowledge my existence (unless for tax of course!)
