Overslept and wfh on an in-office day.

I slept through my alarm and woke up 30 mins past when I’m supposed to get to the office. I live like a 30 minute drive away and have some virtual morning meetings, so I just decided to stay at home since they’re usually pretty flexible. However, there was an optional team lunch and we have a team meeting later so unfortunately they will notice at some point that I’m not there. Debating driving in after my meetings to get there by lunchtime or just coming up with an excuse to tell my skip. My manager is out so I’m reporting to my skip for a while. What would you do?
