Got scammed into a business venture

I met a nurse injector who wanted to start up a new business venture with me 50/50 I am a lash tech. She already had a previous clinic she closed down and was starting up another one and asked me to join in. I excitedly agreed to join as it has always been my passion to move my business into an actual store. I agreed to allow her to handle the documents and legal side as well as financial because she claims she knows how to do it all quickly and efficiently and I don’t have to worry. After giving her 11.5k and patiently waiting for all my receipts invoices and for the money to show up into the store such as furniture. She had a big excuse for it all and I began to realize this was a scam I pulled out of the business and made her sign a contract to give my money back. She has broken the contract and now I am taking it to court. This has caused me a year of financial and emotional stressing trying to contact her for my money back. Any legal advice?
