Bridezilla ruins friendship over me getting pregnant (edited)

Bridezilla

So my friend and I have been friends since high early high school. She got engaged very quickly after meeting her now Husband when we were all still in college, but she didn't tell anyone that they got engaged. She kept it a secret for over a year. I picked up on it when I noticed she started wearing a plain ring on her left finger. Then she announced that they were engaged and she told me that I had been right the whole time.

time had passed and she asked if I would be one of her bridesmaids and i gratefully said yes. She was on my first friends to be engaged and to be getting married. I was so excited and supportive

Time passes and she moves out to a different state across the country and I go to visit her. When she comes home, she visits and we talk all the time.

Now some more time passes I meet a man. We go out and visit her together so they know each other at least before the wedding. I end up getting pregnant now I did the math, I would be 7 1/2 months pregnant with my first child at the time of her wedding. I didn't know how big I was going to be. I didn't know where I was going to carry. I didn't know if I was even going to be able to travel at that point of my pregnancy.

Me being courteous every time I go to the doctor I gave her an update to know I'm still approved to travel at that time. The dress she had picked for us bridesmaids was very tight in the breast, waist ,and stomach area and then it expanded to be flowing at the hips. The dresses were on Etsy and they are all handmade She said. So I contact the maker of the dress to find out that in order for me to get the dress on time. I should order at least a month in advance so I was planning on ordering about a month and a half in advance with a little extra wiggle room just in case it needs altering or just in case I'm bigger than expected. Time passes still before I plan on ordering my dress (about 2.5 months before the day) and she's messaging me freaking out that I haven't bought my dress calling me selfish calling me a terrible friend saying that I'm making her wedding about me because I haven't ordered my dress. and at that moment I decide to tell her I will not be joining at the bachelorette because I am not comfortable around people drinking and smoking while I am that pregnant.

I tried to calm down the situation. Explain that I talk to the dressmaker and all of this, but it turns out she had kicked another bride made out for a similar reason because she was pregnant as well and didn't want to order a dress that didn't fit her so she had the same idea on talking to dressmaker to see how long And she was not comfortable. Going to a bachelor weekend with drinking and smoking while being pregnant. she said that my baby is screwed with me as a mother and she never liked my baby's father, he was screwed with having him in her life because we're selfish for getting pregnant before her wedding.

At that point you were having a direct effect on me and my family and you view us worse than we are so I said I'm not comfortable coming to the wedding. I will not be anywhere where I am judged or accused of being a bad parent before I even am one. as well as someone that I love is not liked by people around. I said I hope that our friendship is salvageable one day but she did not want to. Her engagement was a total of three years and within three years, I saw a bridezilla form and destroy multiple friendships. We have blocked eachother on every platform of social media and gone no contact.

Now fast-forward a little bit, I have my beautiful daughter. She is healthy. She is happy. She is perfect and she is blessed to have me as her parent not to sound conceited lol My daughter's father is black with dark hair. I am white with dark hair. My daughter is white with red hair. Somehow, the word gets around to the bride that my daughter is red hair and she's telling everyone we know and everyone she meets that I had an affair and that my daughter is not actually her father's. (Not for nothing if you look at my daughter and her father, they have the same face just different coloring.) she explains that I was trying to get everything out of my daughter's father and trying to use him for what he's got (we were equals in my eyes if anything I had more). Again, some more time passes my daughter's father and I separate.. again... The wind gets back to her and she's saying it's because my daughter's not his and that I deserve to be alone with a bastard child and not know who the father is she hopes that my child gets hurt by my actions. She hopes the worst on my child.

We have two mutual friends together. And they're the ones that told me all of this information. One told me in a manner that was just in conversation and the other one was a just stay clear of her kind of tone. Now we are going to time travel yet again, my actual best friend gets engaged. She asked me if she's OK with me inviting the bride. I said, of course it's not my day if you want her there you do it. I'm just there to support you as any good friend should respond, but thankfully, the original bride could not be there because a year and a half later she's on her "homeymoon" with her parents and siblings and in-laws... what kind of honeymoon is a family trip lol

It's just crazy how some people can take the craziness of a wedding and ruin friendships. Between that situation as well as having a child, I learned who my real friends are and what that means to me. I'm Grateful she's out of my life and I'm grateful I didn't spend the money on her wedding.
