Serious question: Is 96% top 6 good enough for UW cs

Everyone ive asked so far has told me that the cut off is 98% and to be safe its a 97%. Please let me know (not a troll post/attention seeking post). My ECs are okay I have similar stats as applicants who were accepted in the previous year (at-least the ones i talked to).
