Questions about being a RSO in NYC

So long story short I’m being convicted in the next couple of months for possession 3 years ago while in the military. Not sure how long I’ll be away but I have a couple of questions for after I get out just to help my nerves cause I’m all types of confused and spiring.

Q1 - Does anyone know anything about how it works being a RSO in NYC? I’ve read some stuff but anyone have first hand experience?

Q2 - How hard was it getting a job? I’m on military leave from Walmart so I technically still work there but a requirement to coming off is my DD214 so once they see that I doubt they’ll let me come back.

Q3 - How is the housing situation? I’m gonna stay with my sister until I can get a job and save some money to get my own place or go half with her on a place.

Q4 - Will I end up getting probation and being monitored? I’m not sure how it all works but this was 3 years ago but was saved on Dropbox and haven’t even thought about it since but clearly Dropbox reported it cause that’s how they found out about it. Didn’t even realize I was being investigated until a couple of months ago so I know it’ll never happen again but clearly I ruined my military career and my life so I’m trying to see how it’s gonna work after.

Q5 - I’m going to NYC cause that’s where my sister lives and I can just stay with her for a bit but is there any other “better states” I should think about? I’m just scared of how life is gonna be going back to the civilian world and not even in good condition but as an RSO. I truly regret and hate my life for this.

Sorry for the questions I just can’t stop thinking about it all. I ruined my own life and now I honestly have no idea how my future looks like.
