"Dive is still viable you just have to be coordinated" Argument

I mainly see support and Poke mains say this. I do not understand it as an argument at all.

The best way to deal with dive is also coordination. If you had told any of the people spewing this that they should just coordinate to deal with dive, before so many got nerfed, they'd have burned you at the stake.

"Coordination" is quite literally the answer to countering and making anything and anyone viable. It's a copout answer.

I do play support quite a bunch alongside my actual main (Cap) and the only thing that's ever given me a little struggle is a well coordinated duo dive or full dive comp. Y'know how those get countered? Opening your eyes. Turning your volume up. Switching to characters that can deal with it. If your team refuses to do anything, that's an issue of your teammates being ass, not dive being op.

I don't complain when I get forced off Cap because my supports are struggling against a diver. Am I annoyed by it? A little, maybe. BUT if they're struggling against a single diver, often I can see immediately why; because they act like scared deer. They freeze, run into a corner, run away from the team, etc. I cannot spend the whole game standing next to you, babysitting you like you're a toddler that's trying to stick their finger into an outlet.

So how come only divers have to coordinate? Why can't you coordinate with your second support? Your team? Why is that something only divers have to do to get value?
