The AHS 13 cast may be a mistake

First, I want to make it clear that I really enjoyed NYC and that I don't think Delicate is as bad as everyone says. I think it had untapped potential, but that doesn't mean it's bad. The same could be said, based on my personal tastes, of Double Feature (especially Death Valley) and, to a lesser extent, 1984.

Well then. I think one of the biggest problems with NYC and Delicate is that the former focuses exclusively on a female cast (broadly speaking, like the rest of the AHS seasons) and the latter does so with a female cast—which is always better received—but with the problem of revolving everything around a single character: Anna (Emma Roberts).

Personally, I'm convinced that both NYC and Delicate would have been better stories with more plot and characters. In the case of NYC, I think it needed more female presence (greater development of Patti LuPone's character and her business connections to the mafia) and to see Mr. Whitley's mother. A secondary plot to mislead, one that had nothing to do with homophobia (like the Mai Thai killer's murders), would have been very good to better camouflage the mystery of Big Daddy (HIV). It's true that the season is well-polished and gets straight to the point, but I prefer more content (that's why my favorite season is Asylum, because of the chaotic mix of elements).

In the case of Delicate… well, it's practically lacking in everything. Unlike NYC, it needs more male characters, or at least not to waste the ones it already has by making the mistake of focusing everything on Anna. Denis O'Hare, Dex, his father, and the security guard deserved more screen time. With all this background, I'm now going to focus on the post title:

I'm worried that this pattern will repeat itself in AHS 13 despite its MAGNIFICENT cast. So far, the only confirmed male actor is Evan Peters, and I know it's pretty obvious that more supporting actors or guest stars (both men and women) will gradually be added, but at least I hope that the story they tell in AHS 13 is quite different from what we've seen in NYC and Delicate, for all the reasons I've mentioned. Something tells me that the cast announced by Ryan Murphy is pure clickbait and that more than one actor announced as part of the main cast will have less screen time than we think (like in the case of Ariana Grande).
