How do Ukrainians feel about foreigners selling Azov / Ukraine patches? Honest question from a non-Ukrainian

Hi everyone,

I would like to ask for your perspective as Ukrainians, because I want to make sure I handle this topic respectfully and with cultural awareness.

I run a small online shop in Western Europe that sells various military-style and morale patches, and over the past years I have had many Ukrainian customers buying Ukrainian brigade and volunteer-unit patches — including Azov.

What surprised me is that the few people who complained about this were never Ukrainian; they were usually Western Europeans who were upset by the idea of a foreigner selling Ukrainian-related insignia. Ukrainian customers, on the other hand, never expressed any issue with it and often specifically requested these patches.

So my question is genuinely this:

How do Ukrainians feel about foreigners producing and selling patches with Ukrainian symbols, including Azov insignia?

Is this generally seen as supportive, neutral, disrespectful, opportunistic, or something else entirely?
I don’t want to make assumptions, so I would really appreciate hearing from people who are actually Ukrainian or have direct experience with how this is viewed inside Ukraine.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts — I want to make sure I am doing things in a way that aligns with your perspectives.
