Why Indian people lack so much Civic sense??

Kal hi Taj Mahal ghoomne gayi tha apni ek dost ke saath. She’s from Canada and had been dreaming about seeing the Taj since she was like ten. Main full tour-guide mode, telling her history and all, feeling very proud of India. Hum log entry ke baad bas wahin standing and soaking the view when suddenly ek uncle casually unwraps a chips packet and drops the plastic right on the floor. Jaise ki floor hi unka dustbin ho.

My Canadian friend looked at me like, “Umm… is this normal?” Aur main literally hawa me dekhne lagi. Before I could respond, ek group of teens started climbing a restricted area wall to take “cool” Insta pics. Guard unhe utarne bol raha tha, they were acting like he’s ruining their photoshoot.

My friend whispered, “But this is such a beautiful place… why don’t people take care of it?” And honestly I had no comeback. Bas sar hilaya and said, “If people had civic sense here, we would have beaten China in a year or two.”

The whole trip, she kept asking questions about civic sense, and I was just praying nobody else threw anything. By the end, she loved the Taj but also said, “India is amazing, but y’all really believe in testing gravity with garbage.”

I was so embarrassed the whole time that this was one of his first impressions of India, why tf don't people realize that public places are not their property to litter or ruin.
