Can I start with TTRPG through Draw Steel?

Hi everyone, as a totally noob (not in tabletop games), can I start with this game instead of i.e DnD 5.5 ? I’d had a bad opinion with the AC (rolling a 20d to hit), so, do you recommend me this? Or is ir not yet mature ? If so, can I just start with the Delian Tom? Or do I need the core rule? Thank you in advance for your time
