Grin All Axle v3 vs GMAC

I'm planning on getting a bike shop to convert my steel bike into an e-bike for commuting (and just general riding around the town).

I'm deciding between the Grin All Axle v3 or the GMAC as my hub of choice. The allure of the GMAC is that it's better for hill climbing (which Seattle has a ton), is cheaper, and lighter. However, the All Axle seems like a better hub for reliability (no moving parts), quieter, and also could someday move it to a bike with a thru axle.

Could anyone that has used either hub (or both) give me their opinions on which to go with? I'll also ask the bike shop as well but just wanted to get some opinions online prior.
