What Is Sialendoscopy?

Sialendoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat problems inside the salivary ducts. Instead of making cuts or removing the salivary gland, doctors use a thin endoscope with a mini camera to reach inside the salivary duct and directly treat the issue.

This method is commonly used for:

  • Salivary stones (sialoliths)
  • Duct blockages
  • Recurrent gland swelling
  • Infections due to obstruction
  • Duct narrowing (stricture)

Because it avoids traditional surgery, sialendoscopy ensures faster recovery, less pain, and no visible scars, making it one of the safest modern ENT procedures.
