Looking for affordable flying schools near Southampton, UK

Hi all,

I’m based in the Southampton, UK and currently looking for good, cheap flying schools nearby. A major requirement for me is easy access by public transport, I don’t have a car, and while I’ve considered getting one eventually, it won’t be anytime soon.

I’ve already looked into schools around Lee-on-the-Solent, but the train + bus commute ends up around 1h30 each way, which is a bit too much long-term.

If anyone in/around Southampton, Hampshire, or nearby areas knows of a flying club or school that:

• Is reasonably priced
• Has good instructors / training record
• Is easily reachable by bus/train

…please share recommendations. Also happy to hear any tips on transport routes that have worked for you.
