Mom told me to ‘get my emotional regulation and codependency under control’
So a few months ago I had an incident in my new school where my FP triggered me so badly that I overdosed and had to defer two weeks into the first term.
Since I deferred, I’ll be going back to school in about three months. I was minding my own business when my mom asked me when my next appointment with my therapist is. I told her it was in January and she said ‘school is coming up so you need to get your emotional regulation and codependency under control’
Which… yeah okay I get it. I’m insane. But I’m mentally ill, I really don’t think it’s that simple to just get it under control. I’ve been having these problems since I was a child. They’ve only gotten worse. I went from half assed attempts every month as a child to more severe attempts as an adult.
And yet, she expects me to become normal within less than half a year? She said it like it’s so easy. Like I wouldn’t change and get better if I could.
I’m just really frustrated. I wish the people around me could see how badly I’m trying.
Doesn’t help that she’s most of the reason I even developed all these mental illnesses, lol.
