Today i was wondering again when we will ever see AI Blade for automating Turrets...
and all of a sudden it felt like not too good of an idea.

Lately i have been using the Paladin together with a friend and,
in the arguments of "Turrets" and "Multicrew" (.. well.. 2 ppl its still Multicrew XD ),
it's been an extremely satisfying experience. Both as pilot or as gunner.

the 4x S5 are absolutly glorious, making it 100% worth it to be at the Turret.
and as the pilot, it just feels so nice to have meaningful guns

... even though most of times i give priority to have targets in the aim range of the turret rather than pursuing to lock on with my guns.

it just feels right to have them, for when the chance asire (and those chances are pleanty)

... very different than being at the helm of a ship with no control over any significant gun... that just makes me feel like a taxi driver...

**------------->**

it got me thinking about Turrets: Pilot (Slaved) / Crew / AI Blade

**Point 1**: thing is.... **if i had to choose an opponent**:
between a Paladin **with ALL turrets slaved** to the Pilot
**or** a Paladin **with AI Blade** on turrets (even if just the main one)

.... **i would totaly pick the first option**. and the choice would stay the same for many other ships as opponents.

so long all guns fire just in one direction it may still be doable.

but against AI Blade on turrets.. where the hell would one run/evade to not get hit?
when the opponent just need to position itself so you are in the range of aim of the turret...

**Point 2**: thing is ... **do we long for AI Blade Turrets because it is effectivly an element that our game experience is missing and need?**

**or is it that the feeling of need for AI Blade Turrets is due to most turrets giving the feeling of NOT BEING WORTH using?**

for exemple:
\- the paladin is top Turrets/Multicrew experience (at least to me XD)... it feels worth it in every role (...i mean... speaking only of pilot and main turret)

\- the Retaliator .... is terrible (for Turrets/Multicrew) ... 2 S3 Guns for one person is just not worth it...
... of course anyone would want AI blade to take on such a role
... and damn, it should be illegal for ships of those dimensions and upward to use S3 guns (the pip/power consuption is just not linear with the power plants)

Take the cutty black...
what is instead than 4 S3 for the pilot and 2 S3 for the gunner...
what if it was 2 S4 for the pilot and 2 S4 for the gunner?
(assuming for example CF-337 Panther and CF-447 Rhino the total DPS would be the same)
it is only a littel bit different but still to me it feels much better for Turrets/Multicrew,
without having much of a loss when alone

Turrets Control: Pilot (Slaved) / Crew-Gunner / AI Blade
