How do you all survive multilingual meetings without burning out?
We had a cross country workshop this week with our German PMs, Japanese engineers, Brazilian marketing team, and Singapore ops. Great people, very collaborative, but trying to follow every detail when accents, speaking speeds, and communication styles all mix together was a real challenge.
There were moments where someone slipped into their native language for a sentence before switching back, or two people talked over each other while referencing different documents. By the end of the first session my brain felt like it ran a marathon.
For those of you who handle global teams regularly, how do you manage this without draining your mental energy every meeting?
Do you slow the room down, ask for recaps, use tools, or have certain habits you swear by? I would love to learn what works for others in similar roles.
